Farewell from the CEO
On Friday 27th March, I will be stepping down as CEO of the SupaJam Foundation, passing the leadership of this wonderful organisation to its Trustees.
How do I begin to sum up the past 15 months? How do you capture the love, commitment, and hard work that go into building something from inception?
All I can really say is this: it has been an absolute honour.
To take the SupaJam Foundation from an idea to the organisation it is today — from its programmes, to its website and digital presence, to the relationships we’ve built with our community and funding partners — has been an incredible journey. But above all, I am most proud when I speak to the young people the Foundation has supported, and continues to support, and see the real difference it has made in their lives.
I am deeply grateful to our volunteers and mentors, whose time and dedication have made our programmes possible. I’ve had the privilege of working with so many inspiring people — from supporters to funders — and have been continually moved by the generosity shown to us.
A special thank you to my Deputy CEO, Leena, who will also be stepping away this Friday. Since joining in October, she has brought wisdom, energy, and unwavering support. What was once a very solitary journey became something shared, and I will always be thankful for that.
With exciting events and opportunities already ahead, I have no doubt the Foundation will continue to grow and thrive in its second year. While I won’t be part of that next chapter, I will always remain one of its biggest supporters.
To quote one of our wonderful beneficiaries: “the SupaJam Foundation is incredible and I am so proud to be an Ambassador.”
Wishing the Foundation and all of its young people every success and happiness for the future. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey 💛
